It's pretty easy to do with Nuke. Render from Houdini as .EXR files and then read them into Nuke. If you don't use a background in Houdini on your environment light it will just come through as an alpha so you can lay it on top of your other footage in Nuke. You can export AOVs inside of the .EXR files too if you want more control over that.
